I upgraded my WNDR3400 (10d/2u) to a WNDR4300 (15d/5u) then to the R7000 where I'm getting 30d/5u. (Mentioned speeds are all on DD-WRT, OpenVPN configured within the router.) My true ISP connection speed is 50d/5u which is what I get when I run VPN software on my computer rather than router.
